You're Da Bomb!

Just using up the last of this DP, hope I have another sheet, I really love it! The flowers are Petaloo and the little silver tag says fun! You can't see it in the picture, but there is black ribbon with white polka dots around the top of the can. I think these are called tea tins and they from from PaperTrey. Everything on the card is from the scrap pile!

Boho Fun for featured stamper challenge on SCS

I finished this challenge very early for a change!! I really loved this card when Pam posted it, so it was a no brainer for me: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...p;ppuser=80431

I don't have One of a Kind (YET!) so I used my new Boho Backgrounds that just came in the mail on Friday and did my best to case her beautiful creation!! What I miss the most is the circle stamp on the scallops, but I will just wait till I get it!! I think once they are on in white it will pop more!

I didn't have a pin anywhere, (they have all disappeared!) so I used a paperclip and I kinda like the distressed look that resulted!

Stamps: Boho Backgrounds
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip, Berry Bliss
Ink: Purely Pomegranate, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Purely Pomegranate Satin Ribbon, Paper Paper clip and Mat Pack, Punches - Slit, and CirclesPurely Pomegranate Wide Sa
Techniques: FUN!!
Thanks for stopping by!

Too excited!! Woo Hoo!

One of my cards was selected for the honors gallery on SCS! I can't believe it!! People were e-mailing me and I was telling them there must be some mistake, well come to find out it was for a card I made for a challenge in October! The hostesses must think I'm nuts because I kept telling them nope not me! LOL! Funny this was one of the fastest cards I ever made and I wasn't even sure I liked it! Who da thunk it? Not me that's for sure!! I'm doing a little Happy Dance! Wanna see the card? Click here!

Random Act of Kindness

I received this cool cutie in the mail today from SmilynStef on SCS! What a surprise it was! I love this little guy in the corner, he kinda looks like Gumby! Isn't he cute! I also love all that different DP's that go so well together, the ric rac on the side of the sentiment and the sentiment itself is fabulous. We all definitely need to leave our comfort zone sometimes in order to achieve something really great. Ooooh, I just love happy mail! I have never felt so special and I just can't wait to open the mailbox each day!! Thanks Stephanie!!!

Leftovers

I made this quick card for the Friday limited supplies challenge on Splitcoast. The challenge was to use scraps and leftovers, which I certainly have an abundance of. These stamps are from one of the little Studio G stamp sets that you get for $1.00. I think this little owl is adorable!!

Thanks for stopping by! Wow almost to 2,000 already! I better get ready for some blog candy!

1 Ugly Valentine!

Well I was diggin' through some stuff and found this card! I gave it to my husband last year for Valentine's day. I guess I thought it was ugly even then. Poor guy, he always buys me these wonderful cards that are full of love and so beautiful and what does he get? Well atleast it was made with love. It's not like he is the mushy type! Anyway I thought I would share it with you and now I better go work on a better one for this year!

Images

Oooops, I promised some images didn't I! I will send both of you that commented some images as soon as I get some more Stampin' Up whisper white! Just contact me via e-mail with your address and thanks again so much for taking the time to make my day!

Thanks Linda!

Well Linda finally received her blog candy! I'm so sorry for the delay in getting it to you and I hope you are enjoying your winnings!! She also sent me this beautiful card! Don't you just love the DP and the pretty tulips!

I can't wait for Spring! Winter just sucks the life out of you doesn't it!! I'm so thankful for all of you that have been sending cards, leaving comments, and e-mailing me, it's like a ray of sunshine and warmth to wrap yourself in. So thanks to all of you!!

Dapple of Gray

I made this card for my newest friend Pat. She is so awesome and deserving of a much better card than I could ever dream of making. Every day she makes my day and every day she makes me laugh. Isn't it funny how someone you've never met can mean so much to you! Thanks so much for touching my life and filling it with sunshine!! LYMI!

Card for my MOM!

Made this card for my Mom with some images and Acetate that I received from my friend Pat, she was so sweet to send it. Thanks Pat, love it! This looks way better IRL, mom loved it. Hope you do too! The white really stands out in the scan, but looks good on the card! I shaded the horse by sponging it, the are around the eyes looks much lighter here too! Well thanks for looking!

Card from an SCS Friend!

I received this card from Michelle Adams. Michelle usually posts several cards each day and I hadn't noticed any postings, well come to find out her stamp room flooded and a bunch of stuff got ruined. To me that's one of the worst things that could happen to a stamper. I feel really bad for Michelle, she's still not able to stamp. I was planning to send her a card (and still will), but can't think of what to send (help me!!). Well anyway, I opened the mailbox and there was this card from Michelle (I really love getting the mail lately, this is even better than getting new product in the mail). Imagine she sent me this in her time of sorrow, how sweet she is. I feel really guilty that I didn't get mine in the mail yet. I am such a procrastinator!! Well anyway, this didn't scan well. This card is so adorable and beautifully colored. The DP is beautiful and the brads are amazing! Michelle, if you stop by Thanks Sooo Much and I hope things get straightened out soon. I miss seeing your creations! There you go making my day again, when I should be making yours! Well I better go, I've got work to do!

happy birthday 2 you!

I love this stamp, it's just too cute! It was a Christmas present and this is the first time it has seen ink, not sure why it took me so long to get to it! I thought this DP was perfect for some pj's, have to wrap in pj's, so I paper pieced her clothes. I'm not sure about the ribbon, but it looks okay. I colored it with black prismacolor pencil and then added dots with the white signo gel pen, nothing else really seemed to work! It blended in much better once I added the Gina K sentiment and the brads though. I have wanted to try this layout for a while, not sure who I independently acquired it from, but thanks! Sharon had a challenge on her blog to tear it up, so I did! Thanks for looking, hope you like it!

Stamps: Hanna, You're the perfect package, Gina K's Punchy words
Paper: MME, Rose Red, Cool Carribean
Ink: Prismacolor pencils, Rose Red, Purely Pomegranate, White Signo gel pen
Accessories: brads

Happy Birthday Beagle, by Cameron

2008 - Cameron

I drew in the stairs and a present with a brown marker. Used glue stick to put together. The dog was stamped in black and I colored the orange with a hi-lighter. It was very easy to make and only took 3 pieces of scrap paper.

Thanks for looking, Cameron

The Perfect Couple!

This was one of the fastest cards I've ever made! I was inspired to use the wrought iron punch by Pat Smether's. You really should check out her gallery with the link below, she is an amazing stamper! I needed a couple of anniversary cards and thought this would be perfect. I am so happy Gina K's punchy words fit right in the word window! YAY!!!

Stamps: Lots of Hearts wheel, Penny Black's... You're a treasure and Punchy Words by Gina K.
Paper: Basic Grey, Black and White
Ink: Prismacolor Pencils

Accessories: Word Window and Wrought Iron Punches, Ribbon

Thanks for looking!

I'm Crazy!

about you that is! Maybe just a little NUTS too, but that's okay!

Made this card over the last coupla days! I love this little Changito, he's soooo cute! The marker smudged on the white, so I had to run with it and muck up the rest, but it's still kinda cute.

I got these little silver tags at Joann's a while back. They are really neat! The ribbon is by Martha and the DP is Basic Grey.

Hope you like my little card and thanks for stopping by for a peek.

Been sick, so early to bed the last few nights, but it still got me! Went to work this morning and ending up having to leave, I'll spare you the details but it wasn't pretty. Still feeling pretty yucky, have a fever and the chills to go with it! Life has to go on now though because Cameron just got home from school. I sure hope he doesn't get this!

An Awesome Mail Day!!

The last couple of days at work have been tough! It's tax season and everyone is trying to get their Quicken/QuickBooks working (UGH!). QuickBooks is no fun at all, especially the new 2008 version! Well enough whining! So I got home today and always stop off at the mailbox, well today I stayed right in the road and opened my mail. Look what we got!!

This card was sent to Cameron by Jennie Skaggs (see my previous post for a link to her blog). Isn't it just adorable!! He was so excited!! I was checking out Jennie's blog one day and Cameron saw a picture of her cats and started guessing which one was which and then he asked me to e-mail her. Jennie was kind enough to reply and asked if she could send him a card. Needless to say he had more questions so we pestered her for a couple of days, she was so sweet replying to each one and then this. Truly remarkable, thanks so much for your kindness Jennie. He loves the little stickers you included and his face just lit up when he opened this!
This one is from Pat Smethers (see previous post for a link to her amazing gallery). I commented on a card in her gallery and I'm so glad I did! She is sooo much fun (as she would say a kick in the butt!). What an amazing person, I already feel like I have known her forever. She also sent me some acetate cards (which is what the background on this card is) already stamped and a bunch of fabulous images, so I could make a card for my mom! Thanks so much Pat!

I know I've said it before, but I am truly amazed at the amazing people that I have met through blogging and Splitcoast. There really is hope for this world!!

You know you're old when...

I'm loving this new Tickle your Funny Bone set from Gina K., isn't he just the cutest! His pants, tie and hat are done with paper piecing! The inside says: "your ears are hairier than your head." LOL! I break 'em on Jim about this all the time, so I'll have to save this card until September. You know I make all these cards and then I hoard them too. I hardly ever send them to anyone. My new New Year's Resolution is to send some cards to people. I have a friend that stamps multiples every time and keeps one and gives one away. What do you do with your cards?

Stamps: Tickle your Funny Bone
Paper: K& Co. and Close to Cocoa
Ink: Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol
Accessories: button
Techniques: Paper Piecing
Thanks for stopping by!

New Copics

Stamps: Daisyboardabella
Paper: Brushed Copper, Random Dark Purple from LSS
Ink: Copics, Twinklette
Accessories: Ribbon from Jacksonbelle, it is really gorgeous, but looks bad in this picture! It is coppery on the edge and has deep purple in the center! Crystal effects on the snowboard ,Fun Flock, Sparkling Ice Glitter
___________________________________________________________________

Stamps: Snowbunnybella, All in a Row, Genuine Articles
Paper: Basic Grey Blush, Romance and Eternity
Ink: Copics
Accessories: Fun Flock, Jumbo eyelets

I joined the Copic Marker club at Gina K.'s and just got them in the mail the other day, I've seen some people make some fabulous cards with these, but they are not magical in my hands (maybe with some practice, but I don't have that artistic ability). I still love them though!! These are the first two cards that I made with them. They are plain, but Bella carries her own! The one with the snowboard was first and the circle at the top is a mirror with snowflakes stamped on it. I received it from a stamping friend and she has challenged me to use them. I also stamped "Chill" on it. This one was easy, but need to use more of them on the next one. I don't have any ideas right now! The photo of this card stinks, but couldn't get a better one! She got the circles from Starbucks. They had some holiday decorations made with them and she asked if she could have them.

Another card w/ a cute butt!

This scan is horrendous, the card is actually white, so you can imagine how faded out the other colors are. I used to be this skinny ( a long, long time ago), but I never had a butt this cute. Tall people get robbed of butts!!

This is another of my new Bella's that I bought myself for Christmas, don't you just love buying yourself gifts. I've never really been this bad before, usually concentrate on everyone else. This year I just kept buying stuff for myself. Wherever I went, necklaces, earrings, bracelets, clothes, purse, stamps. I don't know what was wrong with me!! Then I even kept some of the things that I bought for others, bad...very bad! I know what I like though!! It's so hard to buy for everyone else, people have sooooo much now a days.

Like I said in earlier posts, I attended the Gina K reveal on Splitcoast the other night. It was a trip, the people are hilarious, the pace exhausting and the new sets that were revealed were awesome. I wanted them all, but held myself in check! My poor credit card!! Gina K is an awesome person, she has these tremendous give aways on her blog and she has stamps for a cause where so much of the proceeds from the sale of a designated set will go to a charity. This time it was diabetes and last time autism. She also started a Copic Marker club, so that we could all enjoy the benefits and not pay the shot all at once. I joined and can't wait to get them, hope I can use them.

Anyhoo... There were two sketch challenges for the reveal party and the person who won them got to choose a set valued at $18.95 or less for free. I knew I wouldn't win, but wanted to play. This card was for the first sketch. I never finished the second one, but I will someday. I can never make up my mind and keep changing and changing stuff. Do you do that? I think that's why I usually wait for the last minute.

Not many supplies involved:

Stamps: Ipodabella
Paper: Only Orange, Black, Whisper White
Ink: Prismacolor pencils, Gamsol
Accessories: Ribbon, Music Note Brad, Glitter, Creative Memories Thingie (wavy trimmer?)

Thanks for stopping by!

For this week's featured stamper challenge

I have all my scraps out and I am determined to use them. Everything on this card is made from the scrap bin. I have whole sheets in the because I get them out and I'm too lazy to put them away! Aren't these fella's cute and they have great smiles. The whole time I was making this card, I couldn't stop thinking of a line from a song " If the world ran out of lover's, we'd still have each other. Nothings gonna stop us now.

I originally colored the rhino Orchid Opulence, but it was too much so I re-colored him in Tempting Turquoise and cut him out and attached. It looks really cute because his little toes wiggle and his horn sticks up.

Gina K came out with the cutest little Hippo stamp with a fat butt. I didn't get it because I have plenty of giraffe's and monkeys, but I am sad now I want it!!!!! This was as close as I could get.

Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by! Happy Stamping!!

Stamps: Zoofari, Stampendous
Paper: Scraps, yay!
Ink: Watercolor wonder crayons
Accessories: ribbon, rhinestone brad, and retired flower punch. The scallops were made using the slit punch.

Under the Weather!

My brother ans sister-in-law gave me this set for Christmas. Yay! I have been eyeballing it for some time at Lil Deb's Stamp and Scrap Station. Isn't he just the cutest?

Stamps: Happy Healing
Paper: Memory Box, Only Orange
Ink: Prismacolor Pencils, Stickles, Crystal effects

For you with Love!

This is one of the newest Bella's, she has a slightly odd pose probably so you can see her cute little butt. Regardless, she's still too cute! I colored this with Stampin' Up watercolor wonder crayons (been a long time since I used these) and a blender pen. The pink beads are called baubles from Bella, but they also sell Robin's Nest Dew Drops. I got both for Christmas. The Dew Drops come in cute little bottles and the are multi-colored and the baubles are sold by single color without the cute little bottle. Not a great photo! Any questions about supplies, please e-mail me or leave a comment and I will let you know.

I hope everyone has a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year filled with wonderful stamps!! Thank you all for visiting my blog, I'm not really sure who you are, but the counter keeps climbing so someone's there. I appreciate you stopping by and would love to hear from you. I love blogging and seeing all of your wonderful creations, you can be sure if you leave a comment here I will visit your blog too and maybe we can become stamping friends. I love to exchange images and cards etc. and would love to be able to see what you have been up to.

Thank You from Miss Helen!

My friend Helen sent me some stamped envelopes that I love, so I sent her a few gifts in return and she sent me this great Thank You card! The scan really isn't doing it justice. this card is adorable! There is glitter on the band of the hat and the scarf that is just beautiful and it doesn't really show up (Bummer!). I love the colors and the ribbon with the little bit of fiber on top. The flower on his hat is a brad with a little bit of bling in the middle, too cute!! The sponging around the edge of the oval is so pretty IRL!

???? What do you do with the hand made cards that you receive????? I hate to put them way, but so little room to display them w/o something happening to them. I was thinking of putting plexi-glass on my tables and putting the cards underneath and framing some to hang on the walls, but that will fill up fast. So tell me, what do you do with the ones you get??

Thanks for stopping by! Deb
