For My Little Chunky Monkey!!

This started out as an RAK for a child who has a tumor on his brain stem with brain lesions. I thought it was a young kid, but turns out he's is 13, so back to the drawing board!!

You would not believe what a time I had with this card! This was my first time making clouds, looks like a storms a brewing, then I cut part of the leaves off the tree because I was thinking they wouldn't fit, when I should have just let them hang over, oh well maybe next time.

These are my first High Hopes stamps, but I had to go back and order some more definitely need the greenery and the snake and so on. I love when you can buy the stamps unmounted it's so much cheaper!1

Anyway have a heart and leave me a comment if you like it in the least because I worked on it most of the day. Should have thrown it in the trash hours ago!! LOL!

My friend Ahlim makes some of the most amazing cards I have ever seen. I was inspired by her to stickle the tree, wish I had more colors, I woulda gone nuts, maybe its a good thing!! You can visit her blog here: http://lim-thevoicesinmyheadlimblog.blogspot.com/

In the long run I figured I'd give it to my son, who I call monkey all the time. He may not be to happy with the "chunky" part, but he sure is getting chubby!

Thanks for looking and I hope you like it!! It's much more colorful in person, I need photography lessons!
Stamps: High Hopes
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Barely banana
Ink: Brocade Blue for the stormy clouds, LOL!, Glorious Green Sponged under the grass, Chocolate Chip Marker and prismacolor pencils!

Welcome Little One

My step niece had a little baby girl this morning. I still can't seem to remember the full name or how to spell it, so it's Allie to me. It's actually Allisana or something like that. It really stinks when you have no memory. She was 7 and 3/4 pounds and 21 1/4 inches long and is the cutest little thing. I just adore babies, but no I won't be having any more. I made her this quick little card and went to visit them tonight, they are both very sweet and I wish them the best!!

Introducing Mocha

My son loves cats! Unfortunately I'm allergic, but sometimes you have to make sacrifices for your children, right? We got him a kitten last year and she turned out to be a 7 toed terror. Not only did she claw up all the furniture, but my son too. She was pure evil. He loved her anyway, but we couldn't take the risk after she scratched his eye. He has talked about her every day, how much he missed her even though she was wicked and he agreed that we needed to get rid of her. Since I have not been well and don't have the energy to keep up with being a 7 yo's playmate, we thought it would be a good idea to surprise him with a new kitty. This isn't the best picture, my husband snuck out with the Camera because they were napping on the sofa and she likes to curl up right next to his neck. He woke them, so we missed the picture, but you get the idea!! We have had her for a week and they are inseparable, already in love! Neither one of them likes to be alone so they are perfect for each other!!

Thanks for stopping by!

RAK from Aunt Patti causes Happy Face! + Scroll Down for Blog Candy

Pat Smethers aka Aunt Patti sent all this loot and this adorable card to my son Cameron. Boy did his face light up when he open up that box, but the first thing he did was open the card, run over and say awwww look how cute!!! Then I convinced him to let me take a picture of the goodies before he tore into them. She sent Curious George pencils, stickers, stamps, gel pens, and a Spider Man pen that you can write with and it lights up (which tickled him pink) or blow bubbles with it. He hates to have his picture taken and even stuck his head in for Aunt Patti without being asked. Pat challenged him to make her a card with the materials and it had to have pink on it. He sat right down asked for a pink piece of paper and got started!! He stamps as fast as you Pat!! He hasn't finished it yet, but we should be sending that out with the last card he made you for a challenge with Reilly (which I forgot to mail) and your RR stamp I promised you!!

Thanks so much from the both of us!! You rock!! That card is just the cutest and I love the DP!!!

Thanks for Looking!

Frightening Fun and Autumn Scarecrow were also used and are still available and Journaling Jots was used for the journaling!
What do you think of these pages? I have a lot more ans was thinking of posting some that were done with stamps!! The colors are a little off from the scanner! TFL!!!

Cameron was 4 in these pics! He used to smile on cue even if it was cheesy!

TSBC#12

I haven't been stamping much or sleeping well, but each week I have to do the challenge with my twisted sistahs no matter what. I have along list of things that I need to get done, so I am going to try to overcome the pain and get them done this weekend! It will be a total miracle, since I have no mojo nor any ambition!

This week's rules were created by misshelenstamps:

A standard sized card
Must use Ribbon
Must use some kind if punch
All must be black & white

I really thought this would be harder for me using just black and white, but once I was able to stamp the Flourishes Damask stamp, it went pretty easily from there. I'm actually pretty happy with the way it turned out! But I'm sure I'll get buzzed!

This looks so much better IRL, don't you hate that. I need to go take photography lessons. Thanks for looking and I'd love to know what you think!

Stamps: Flourishes Damask, Inkadinkadoo
Paper: Black and white
Ink: Black
Accessories: Sandylion essentials, SU organdy ribbon black, Punches hole and Ticket corner, Nestabilities

Ink: Copics
Accessories: 3 pronged piercer (not sure you can see up up the length of the card, ribbon, punches, flower, rhinestone (which id green, not sure why it looks yellow!) Queen & Co. Beadifuls for bracelet!

Thanks for looking!

For my Mom

The Rules by wannabcre8tive:

The colors for the challenge card for this week will be rose red, black and white. It must be floral, can be made with any size card. It has to have some sort of circle on it. It can be a big circle, little circle, half circle, 1/4 circle or what ever you choose.

I didn't have a stamp block that was the right size for the CHF backgrounder, so I tried to use the plate from my big kick, but it may have been a bit too skinny and it didn't stamp great, but I still think this is a beautiful stamp, perfect for this challenge and for Mother's Day!

This card measures 5 1/4 x 6 1/4. I don't really like the ribbons, but felt like something was needed there. There are gemstones on the swirls around the Mother's Day Sentiment. The scallops are made with full circles and there are gemstones in between each of them. TFL!! Hope you like, Mom did, but that's how Mom's are and then she read the inside and cried! That's when you know you wrote something good. She actually used to go to the store and read the cards till she cried and then she knew that was the one. So that's what's really Important.

I also bought her some stamps from HM. It was my first time ordering from there and I would definitely recommend doing business with Dick, he is awesome. I was so impressed with the low prices, quick responses and fast shipping. Then he sent me an awesome follow-up e-mail welcoming me as a customer. The best service I ever had. I also e-mailed him again the morning and received a response very quickly! Here's the web site:http://www.hmstamps.com/index.htm

Happy Mother's Day!! There was no time limit, so I'm not even late!!!

Stamps: CHF backgrounder Shady Daisy, All Holidays
Paper: rose red, black and white
Ink: rose red, black
Accessories: ribbon, bling circle punch!

My Star of the Week!

What a great Mother's Day present Cameron was chosen as star of the week at Good Morning Program. I was so proud he has been working so hard so he can go to Build-a-Bear. He writes beautifully when he wants to problem is he usually doesn't want to and when he doesn't want to do something he doesn't! He is very stubborn like his father. So when his report card came home last week everything was great especially Math he is a whiz, but not writing or gym. So I promised him if he improved in writing by the end of the year I would take him to Build-A-Bear. You ought to see the beautiful papers that have been coming home.

We are working on gym too, as you can see he is in the chubby stage, so I'm sure that makes it difficult for him. But we are exercising together and hopefully he will improve, but he doesn't have much interest in all that, he's more the artsy type, loves to draw and create things.

There was no getting a smile out of him in front of all those people, he can be very shy. But once you get to know him he'll make you laugh till you pee!! I sure love him to pieces and hope he stays on the right track!

Happy Mother's Day

"Other things may change us, but we start and end with family" ~ Anthony Brandt

Happy Mother's Day to all my stop by my blog and Happy Mother's Day to your Mom too.

If you don't have children, may you still have a marvelous day.

If you are mourning the loss of a loved one (mother or child), please accept my heartfelt condolences during this sad and difficult time.

RAK from Donna (Serenity in Stamping)

I received this beautiful card in the mail today from Donna, it totally made my day. The colors are so lovely and the card opens where the pink paper is.
If you have not checked out Donna's Blog: http://stampamaniac.blogspot.com/ you must, she is soooo creative and her projects are all really wonderful, I go back everyday!

I actually purchased this exact stamp because of Donna and I was thinking it would be perfect for Mother's Day, but I just realized I don't have an acrylic block big enough! I wonder how fast I can get one?You must check out CHF and especially their wonderful collection of backgrounders. I want them all. Oh and great news I just heard that they have 10 Retired Backgrounders now on CLEARANCE! Check them out! I'm going to!

Sunday's FS65

Diplomabella for a new SCS friend!

Have you ever been so far behind you think you'll never catch up? That's how I feel. I have absolutely no energy or Moe Joe.

I made this card for a new friend that I made on SCS, she is graduating soon and wanted to make all her own thank you's. So I sent her a bunch of images, so she should also make some cards for friends and have room for error! She seemed really sweet, so I thought I'd send her a card!

I wish I had made the card a tad bit bigger so more of the yellow rose paper would show through, but I trimmed it so the wrought iron punch would be even! I also wanted to use blue ribbon, but didn't have any that matched!

Stamps: Diplomabella
Paper: DCWV yellow roses, Night of navy, Yo-Yo Yellow
Ink: Copics
Accessories: fibers, wrought iron punch, Stickles on roses, Queen $ Co Beadifuls!
Oh and if you bought beadifuls, be careful because they are over filled and sopill all over the place!!

Thanks for looking, hope you like!
