Gina K.'s Land Cruise Challenge #3

This was undoubtably the ugliest card I ever made, I added the vellum, tangerine Tango background and the ribbon with the flower accent and although I'm still not happy with it, I like it much better!!
The challenge: Ahoy Landlovers! Even though we are stuck on the shore, it doesn’t mean we cannot experience a cruise at home! And everyone KNOWS that you cannot go on a cruise if you don’t have WATER!So….for this challenge, just create a card that has some sort of “water” element to it or on it. (Here are some ideas to get you started—a gel card, ocean, rain, rain dots, snow, vase, bath…) Sky is the limit but ….don’t forget the water!!! Upload your card on SCS using the keyword GKDLCCK and be sure to link back to this thread. You have until Friday night at 11 p.m. (central time) to be included in the drawing. If you own any stamps by Gina K Designs, be sure to use them on your card! If you don’t have any (yet!), feel free to play along anyway!!! On Saturday morning, I will take all the entries posted and pick a random winner. The winner will be announced on Saturday (after I get home from two softball games!

Stamps: Gina K, Inkadinkado
Paper: White, Tangerine Tango, Vellum
Accessories: Ribbon, Nestabilities, and Metal Flower
Ink: Prismacolor Pencils and Odorless Mineral Spirits
Thanks for looking! In case you're wondering, I didn't win any of the random drawings!! Boo-Hoo! Oh well, wish me better luck next time!

Gina K.'s Land Cruise Challenge #2

I realized I had until midnight to do the other Challenges and although I am very tired, I have this horrible barking cough that keeps me from sleeping, so I figured why not make a few cards and try to win some free stamps!! Gina K. is awesome, so generous and kind!

The challenge, it’s Easy as 1, 2, 3!! Just create a card using 1 piece of ribbon, 2 layers (that’s only one plus your cardbase) and 3 embellishments of the same type {ie on mine I used 3 rhinestones}. Be sure to upload your card by Friday night Oct 24th at Midnight (Central Time). If you own any stamps by Gina K Designs, be sure to use them on your card but if you don’t have any (yet), then please still play along!!! Upload your card on SCS using the keyword "GKDLCDB" and be sure to link back to this thread. I will take all the entries posted and pick a winner out of a hat & the lucky winner will be announced on Saturday morning!

Gina K.'s Land Cruise Challenge #1

I made this for the Gina K. Land Cruise. I wanted to do all 3 challenges, but ended up only with this one and it's late was supposed to be posted by 8 and it was a few minutes late!! My hands were just too shaky today and I'm too achy!

The challenge, just create a card using chipboard on your card in some way by Friday night 7 p.m. (central time). If you own any stamps by Gina K Designs, be sure to use them on your card! If you don’t have any (yet!), feel free to play along!!! Upload your card on SCS using the keyword "GKLANDEM" and be sure to link back to this thread. On Friday night, I will take all the entries posted and pick a winner out of a hat. The winner will be announced on Saturday morning!

I made some changes adding the blue ribbon and the blue gem, but I'm still not crazy about this card, but I do love this stamp!! I probably would have started a few days ago if I didn't have to cut them! Can you believe I have about 15 sets from Gina K. that I haven't cut!! Her design team is so awesome and they make you love and want them all!! So who wants to cut them?? Hahaha!

I've been tagged by Mad4Creations...

Here are the rules:
1. Link your tagger and list the rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of the post by leaving their names as well as links to their
blogs.
4. Let them know that they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
Well lets see 7 facts about me!

1. I really am allergic to cleaning! I can't even walk down the cleaning aisle at the store without sneezing and getting scratchy eyes!!
2. I can't drive either! I got pulled over for doing 70 in a 35 the other day. In my defense, it was on a major highway where the speed limit had just changed. I shouldn't even get behind the wheel anymore because I can't focus. It was my lucky, unlucky day he gave me a ticket for obstructed view because my son had just piled the recyclables in the back to the ceiling!!
3. I love Dancing with the Stars! When it first came out, I wondered who would watch such a thing and I am addicted. Warren is my favorite, but I doubt he will win!! I also like Julianne and Cody, but I think it's time for Cloris to go home!!! Don't get me wrong for an 82 yeard old woman, WOW and she sure is funny!!
4. I'm a Spendaholic when it comes to crafting goodies too! It's bad since I'm out on disability and really shouldn't be purchasing anything, but when left alone I cannot be trusted!! I need HELP!5. I have the best husband !! I've always loved him, but since I've been ill, he helps me so much and is very supportive. If I was him, I would have left!!! LOL!!
6. Family and Friends mean everything to me!
7. Elaine said she cant bear for anyone to touch her feet! Mel said she can't bear any ones feet touching her! I would kill for a foot massage-pedicure, but you wouldn't catch me dead touching someone else's feet, except my stinky boys!!

That's my 7 random boring things about me! I was just tagged recently and I think people will be upset if I tag them again! So, if you're reading this and you haven't been tagged, please leave a comment here and I will link your blog for everyone to see!! I guess I don't know how to follow the rules either, that's #8! If you are still reading this, you must be really BORED!! LOL!!

Celebrate MFT Day

I find I can only stamp lately while watching DWTS. LOL!! I read on Cammie's blog that today was Celebrate MFT day and since I had to have this stamp and hadn't used it yet, I figured I'd play along. I really messed up her face but good, it looks like she has roseola(?) or something worse maybe, but I still like it!! I put CE on her lips and sponged the Basic Grey paper a darker shade. The guitar, sentiment and the tatoo are Inkadinkado, Rock Star.

just because i care....

Another super simple card, except I broke my plastic pad that goes with my Big Kick (bold bummer baby) because I haven't quite mastered using the tan embossing pad with the nestabilities in it.If you have Copics and haven't already done so, I would definitely recommend investing in a Memento Ink Pad, regardless of the paper the color doesn't run and you don't have to worry about even drying it, superb stuff!!

One More WCMD challenge!

This is the last one for me today!! I don't know how some of you crank out so many cards in a day!! I'm exhausted, my whole body hurts, I have the mother of all headaches and these weren't even anything difficult!! Worse yet, I didn't even make Cam a card for his party tomorrow, so I'm off to bed with the heating pad and back at it first thing in the morning!!
This one was made for the Inspiration Challenge! This is my first ever inspiration challenge, usually they just confuse me and I can't say as this was any different. I took my inspiration from the color, the beautiful leaves, and when I thought of the changing colors of the leaves (so beautiful), I thought of this sentiment. So I hope I'm not totally off base!! I colored this with prismacolor and Gamsol, added Crystal Effects to the jar, which doesn't seem visible in the picture, punched and bended the leaves and added Stickles to the honey!!

Hopefully I'll have time Monday to work on some more!! I'd really like to win some prizes and get some goodies in the mail!!

Thanks for stopping by!! I'd love to hear your thoughts!!

World Card Making Day!!

I joined in the WCMD Challenges at SCS and you can to by clicking on the link! **To be considered in the drawing for a prize for participating in the challenge, all challenge cards must be uploaded no later than Monday night at 11:00 pm EST. This was for today's special festured stamper sherrylc05. She has a Fabulous gallery and I'm glad I got a chance to take a look!! I was inspired by Sherry's card here: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...p;ppuser=77415
This stamp is adorable and is by Rubber Romance. Thanks Pat for sending me a couple of images. I had fun with it!! This is colored with Copics. I used a Cuttlebug for the background, stickles on the cake, nestabilities, a pearl from hero Arts for her earring, the SU scalloped border punch and some awesome ribbon from Michael's.

This is for today's sketch challenge. The image is a little bigger than it should be for the sketch, but I really wanted to use it! The inside reads Happy Halloween Grandma, but next year remember it's bobbing for apples not your teeth!! Haha! It took me forever to make this card! Even though it looks simple the image was really hard to color with my shaky hands and I ended up doing it several times!! I wish it was smaller, so I could have put the Happy Halloween on the outside!! I colored it with my Copics and used some K&Co. Designer Paper for the strips on the side. I forget what the sparkly dots are called, but they are fabulous!! After I photographed this card I realized I forgot to color inside the cup handle, so I took care of that and covered the glass and the bowl with Crystal Effects. I'm trying to decide if I am too chicken to add some black stickles to those little tiny fingernails!!
Cameron made this card for the sketch challenge. He wanted to join in on the fun today and this is what he came up with! Then he quit on me because his Jim gave him a couple more of his presents (Star Wars movies). We were at the LSS a couple of weeks ago and they were making pop-up cards. So he has the woman with the beach ball sitting on a bench and the man standing up googling at her. I was pretty surprised, I'm not sure I could do this!!

Thanks for looking and I will add more as I finish them!! I have another one drying right now, but it still needs something so I'm staring at it for a while. I really wanted to add a ground and sky, but there is no way I can cut all the stuff out for masking today!!

My boy's birthday!!

Today is Cameron's birthday and I made him this quick card. He couldn't wait for his Birthday or his Party, so my mom, husband and I had a little cupcake party and gave him a couple of presents!! I'm not sure I love this card, but I'm not a good 10 minute card maker!!

He has 18 kids in his class and we sent 36 cupcakes and he came home with none!!! The teachers and staff went nuts for them. We made chocolate with chocolate frosting with chocolate and caramel chips on top and vanilla with vanilla frosting with chocolate and vanilla chips!! They were so yummy, it's the first chocolate cake I've eaten since March and it tasted soooo good. By the end of the week, I may be a size 16 again!! LOL!

Thanks for looking!!!

More BRAK's and RAK's

Cameron got the mail today and it was just standing out there looking at this package, then he said it's for me mom, it's for me!! Then he came in and opened it and he says Oh man this is so awesome, nut you can't take a picture. I said I have to, so we can thank them and he said Isn't it better to call and thank them in person. What a smart kid!! We are trying to call you Aunt Patti, but he did allow me to have these things for about a moment to get a photo. We are both so grateful for your kindness and generosity. Oh yeah and he went nuts over your card and how do I think you did and how come he doesn't make cards so awesome!!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!!! Oh my gosh, I am so deeply touched by your generosity and thoughtfulness Dawn!! The card you sent is sooooo absolutely beautiful and you know how much I love Changitos!!! I cannot find the words to express what it means to me that you have been thinking about me and concerned. Again thank you soooooo much!! I cherish your friendship and if there is anything that I can ever do for you please let me know!!Love and Hugs,
Thanks for Looking!!
