You're a Hoot!

This is for LSC148 at Splitcoast. I didn't think I was going to be able to follow the rules, but I did! You can find the challenge and play along here: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=310003&page=4

This is what you could use:

Stamps
one stamped image that can be colored
optional: sentiment
optional: an image to ground the main image like an oval, grass, etc.

Paper
any shade of white
2-3 patterns of designer paper
NO other colored cardstock

Tools
NO specialty tools (No punches, No CB, No Piercer, etc)
any coloring tools
sponges OK

Embellishments
one piece of ribbon

I used:

Stamps: Ollie and Olivia
Paper: WHITE and DCWV Retro Mat stack
Ink: Prismacolor Markers
Accessories: One piece of ribbon

The scanner killed my ribbon, I swear it's straight and a cute little bow.

How'd I do?

Thanks for looking!!

For the Sunday Featured Stamper Challenge at Splitcoast

I've had this set for a while and it had never even been mounted, so I figured that was as good an excuse as any to case this card: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...p;ppuser=54696

I think it's time to change the water in these flowers! I know this looks easy and probably is, but I had to recolor this vase like 12 times, it kept bleeding, so I gave up and used colored pencils, but then the color wasn't right so I went over it with the blender pen and mellow moss. It does match better IRL now, but not in the photo. It needs something on the right, but I'll have to think about it.

Stamps: Vases in Vogue
Paper: Mellow Moss. white, and MME
Ink: Bravo Borgundy, Mellow Moss, Stardust
Accessories: Organdy Polka Dot Ribbon

Stampin' Up sent this set to all the demonstrators about a month ago. I was unsure about it, lacking creativity, but there sure have been some beautiful cards made with it on Splitcoast. I made this for today's featured stamper challenge found here. She sure has a beautiful gallery, if you get time check it out and participate. She used a build a brad from Stampin' Up, they are awesome and I must get some. You can use your own stamps or DP to make brads, how cool is that! The idea is to "case" the featured stamper making at least two changes.

I changed the colors, paper and ribbon because I didn't have them, Unfortunately, I don't have any build a brads either so I used a different designer brad. Instead of a regular square I used the nestabilities scalloped square (on loan from Mom). I colored this with my new Copic Spica Glitter Pens that I got for Christmas and cut the little tiny flowers out of the DP and added them over the existing flowers.

Stamps: Time Well Spent
Paper: Purely Pomegranate and Designer Series
Ink: Copic Spica Glitter Pen Red
Accessories: We R Memory Keepers Designer Brad, Purely Pomegranate double stitched ribbon
This was very easy to do and the outcome is a beautiful card, at least I think so!

Thanks for stopping by! Deb

Twinkling H2o's...Need some Practice!

Playing with Mom's Nestabilities and my new stamping stuff. This stamp and the Twinkling H2o's were part of my Christmas presents. Isn't it just the cutest? I love Penny Black! The twinkling H2o's are great I'm sure, but I am having a heck of a time with them, I think it's the paper, but I also tried watercolor paper and that was worse I had it all over the place! I'm sure once I find the right paper they won't be so bad. What do you think?

Stamps:
Penny Black, You're a Treasure, Sweet Thing
Paper: Purely Pomegranate, Glorious Green and white
Ink: Twinkling H2o's Garnet an prismacolor Pencils
Accessories: Cuttlebug and Nestabilities

Thanks for stopping by!

Chill!

Cameron wanted to make cards for each other. He wanted us both to use his stamps and he picked out which ones. He didn't want me to upload his. This is the smallest card I ever made. It is colored with Copic Spica Glitter Pens, they are really cool! It might be funny looking, but it earned me a great BIG hug, so it was worth it!! TFL!

I checked our the ebay store---there sure are a lot of stamp sets---one of my favorite Christmas sets (Nature's Christmas) is there---I spent a lot of time getting mine on ebay---when I could have spent the same price at your sister's store. Will check it out first next time.
I went to Penny Black site---I have some of their stickers that I used to make Christmas cards this year.

Please provide me with your address to claim your prize and thanks to everyone for playing!

I was unable to use a random generator because some of you earned extra entries, so I wrote your names on pieces of paper, one for each entry and had my son draw one. He says Congratulations Linda!!!

Happy Stamping!!!!

I know, I know...another Bella!

This is one of the Bella's that I got recently. I originally purchased several as Christmas presents, but I only parted with two and that's only because they were for my mother. I really would have liked to keep them too, but I felt really guilty! I LOVE Bella's!! They are so adorable, it's easy to make a cute card quick. This is definitely one of my favorites. I need a "purr-fect friend sentiment so I can make a set! Off to search, If you know where I can find one, please let me know!

My scanner needs to be cleaned, all my scans have these little imperfections there must be something on there. I saw the coolest photo box on someone's blog, but I can't remember where. The photos come out so perfect!!

Bottom:

Stamps: Kittycattabella, Hugs and wishes
Paper: MME, Green Galore, Tempting Turquoise
Ink: Prismacolor Pencils and Tempting Turquoise, Stardust Clear pen
Accessories: Ribbon, Flowers cut from DP, Fiskars embossing corner punch

Top:

Stamps: Kittycattabella, Studio G & Lexicon of Love
Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Glorious Green and MME
Ink: Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol ( also need to remember where I got this, Need more!), Stardust Clear pen

I also used ribbon and stampin' dimensionals on the flowers.

Christmas card from my Mom!

Here's Cameron's card from Gramma, I told you it was cute!! I love that they all matched by 1234567890amily. She sure made a lot more cards than I did!! These cute stamps were purchased from Lil Deb's Stamp and Scrap Station!

Isn't this just the cutest card! My Mom made it for us! I just love the cuddling penguins and the glitter. She put a lot of thought and time in to these making a different set for everyone in the family. Cameron got a little penguin card too, which I will post later. Bags got switched and we got the wrong one, so it's not here right now.

I've been tagged!

I've been tagged by Lynn, now I'm supposed to list 7 things about myself and then tag some more people. Hmmmm, what to say, I'm pretty boring!

1) I live in Cassville, NY with my husband (Jim) and our 7 year-old son (Cameron). We have two dogs, Max and Luke. Max is a mix breed and Luke is a black Lab.

2) I am a middle child, there were 6 of us! I have 3 brothers and two sisters. My mother must be crazy!! I only have the one and I can't even imagine what it must have been like. Thanks for everything Mom, love ya!

3) I never ate much chocolate until the last couple of years and now I can't get enough of it! It doesn't matter what kind it is, but Dove milk chocolate and anything with toffee are my absolute favorites!

4) I started out as a scrap booker after my sister-in-law introduced us to Creative Memories, but then I went to a Stampin' Up party and I haven't done much scrap booking since. I am about 3 years behind and I really need to start catching up, there just isn't enough time in a day! I became a Stampin' Up demonstrator so I could feed my habits and would love to be more active as a demonstrator, but again the time thing!

5) I'm not a morning person either, but just can't stomach coffee! I used to start out the day with a diet Pepsi, but recently gave it up because of the Aspartame. I have had a headache every day since I stopped drinking it (ugh!), but I do feel better!

6) Lynn said, "I love the smell of cleaning products, especially toilet bowl cleaner (I know that's totally weird) and you would think that this would motivate me to do more cleaning, ya no. (hmm cleaning or stamping and blog surfing)." I say. "Not weird at all! I love the smell of bleach, especially on sheets and furniture polish, but I must confess I'd rather be stamping or on SCS too and therefore, don't smell the furniture polish very often. Being that I'm not a morning person, I love to clean late at night or when I get upset. My husband hates it when I get cleaning at night and no one has really gotten me frustrated recently, so my house is a mess (LOL!)."

7) I love to buy stamps and ribbon, but especially embellishments and Designer paper (that's my real addiction, shopping for supplies)! Then I hoard it because if I use it, I won't have it anymore. I also have binders full of stickers and sticker letters, that I have no idea why I bought, but I had to have them!!

Now for the hard part, I have to tag others. I only know a couple of blogger's so I had to pick some from the blogs that I like to visit, hope you don't mind!

Cards from my new Stamping Friends!

I've met many wonderful people through Splitcoast. The people on there are so wonderful and they make you realize that there are so many good people in this world. Two of these card are from Helen and the other one with the Santa and reindeer is from Jan. Helen is from Vermont and Jan is from Arizona and I have really enjoyed getting to know them and swapping cards and images. If you haven't visited Splitcoast yet, you don't know what you are missing. It is so inspirational to be able to share your creations and look at all the wonderful creations that everyone else makes. I have learned so much and even more important made new friends, which is priceless!! Thanks so much for your kindness and generosity ladies. I hope we will stay in touch!

These scans do not do these cards justice, they are so cute IRL. The lights on the Santa card are colored with Copic Spica markers and they are so pretty and sparkly. I hope Santa thinks that I have been a good girl because I asked him for them. The two other cards also have glitter and the one that says Baby it's COLD outside (how cute is that?) has little tiny puffballs between his hands for snowballs. One of the envelopes has a stamp on the outside that says "Greetings from your Stamping Friend. I hope Santa brings me that too! Thanks so much for the wonderful cards and images, I love them!!

Another Bella!

Here's another Bella card that I made. The scan stinks, but it's kind of cute! I love these challenges, they really get me motivated, even if I don't know who I'm making them for. I'll use them some day!

Stamps: Blingabella and Circle of Friendship
Paper: MME and Chocolate Chip (my favorite!)
Ink: Choc Chip, Close to Cocoa, More Mustard, and Blush Blossom
Accessories: Glitter, Organdy Ribbon, bling, 1' and 11/4" punches

Brittany's 2009 Graduation card!

Continuing on the Bella challenges, I made this way early for a change. When I saw this stamp, I knew I wanted it for her, so why not get it done. Her birthday is in a couple of days and of course I haven't made that yet. I am hoping to get my new birthday stamp in time, so waiting....excuses, excuses. Hope you like it!

Stamps: Diplomabella, Small Sayings
Paper: Yo-Yo Yellow, Black and Green Galore
Ink: Yo-Yo Yellow, Black and Green Galore
Accessories: Ribbon and Stickles

Happy Birthday Bella!

This was also for the Bella Ball challenges. As you can see, once I started piercing, I just couldn't stop, there are holes everywhere. This is kind of plain, but cute! Can you tell I love Bella's. Recently ordered some new ones and can't wait for them to come!!

Stamps: Cosmobella, G Studio
Paper: Chocolate Chip and Deja Views
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Blush Blosson & Orchid Opulence
Accessories: Rhinestone Brad, Deja Views Flower, Word Window Punch
Techniques: Piercing and Piecing!

Queen for a Day!

Having lots of fun with these, but I should be getting ready for Christmas. The tree isn't up, the presents aren't bought....BAH HUMBUG. I need to get in the spirit!

This DP had a smidgen of really rust, so I sponged some more on and sponged the edges of the white. Paper pieced her outfit, again. I want to be Queen for a day, so I guess that's where my inspiration came from.

Stamps: Spabella and Studio G
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Really Rust, and MME
Ink: Close to Cocoam Summer Sun, Yo=Yo Yellow and Gable Green
Accessories: Ribbon from Michael's & Scrap Essentials Brads

Bella Ball Challenge #1

I can't believe I stayed up until 1:00 in the morning just to see the new Bella stamps. I've obviously got some serious issue! This card was made for the first challenge and I think I have 5 more to go! I'll never make it.

I received an elf package last week, so I'm trying two of my own together and get them sent out. I also have to stamp some images for a trade that have to get out this weekend. I still haven't made my Christmas cards, boy what do I do with my time? Wait I know, I spend it looking at what other people have made on Splitcoast and procrastinating.

I know I still owe some blog candy, working on that too!

This is a tri-fold card and the instructions can be found in the first post of the link below.

Colors are real red and bashful blue. Bella's outfit is done with paper piecing. The DP is from the Christmas Glitter Stack by DCWV. There is crystal effects on the glass. The tag is made with the Round Tab punch from Stampin' Up.

Pepper Coasters

Today's challenge was to make coasters. I've been wanting to make some of these as gifts for a while, so I am grateful for the nudge. This is my Dad's dog(baby) Pepper. When Cameron was little, he would forget his name and ask if we could go see "onion". LOL! It's debatable who loves this dog more. Last time they come over my son took tons of pictures of the dog (none of the people)!

I printed the pics on regular paper and used Modge Podge to adhere it to the tile that I purchased at Lowe's or Home Depot and then put several layers of Modge Podge on top, waiting for each to dry. I' had seen someone do this on Slpitcoast before, but can't remember who. I'm thinking I should put some sort of sentiment or write pepper on them. What do you think?

I made one of this style before and it works. As for the ones with the Staz-On and chalk, they were a nightmare, but I never baked them. Someone on Splitcoast let me know that I should put them in the oven @ about 325 for 20 minutes or so. Guess I'll have to try them again, but not tonight. By the time I got home from work and got everything else taken care of, just didn't have it in me! Oh and don't forget to put some protection on the back. I used Heavy Duty felt pads purchased at Home Depot, they are about the size of a quarter, but in the past I have used other kinds of felt too!

Thanks for looking!

Blog Candy!

Just noticed I have 1005 visits, so be on the lookout for some Blog Candy!

I didn't give it much thought because I thought it would take longer, but as soon as I figure it out you'll be the first to know so stop by often!

Later!

Featured Stamper Challenge!

This was for today's featured stamper challenge on Splitcoast. Love these little stamps. Can you believe I haven's used all of this paper yet? Should have started with the stamps that aren't mine before she wants them back.

Stamps: Elzybells, Sprinkle Snowflakes
Paper: Heidi Grace Frost Blvd, Pretty in Pink, Bordering Blue
Ink: Pretty in Pink, Bordering Blue, Barely Banana
Accessories: Organdy Ribbon, Jolee's Boutique Snowflakes

Is anyone else as neurotic as I am? I just keep changing things around and undoing and redoing. No wonder I usually wait til the last minute. I can't seem to even get my images straight. I must move them 4,000 times each. I have all this stuff and every time I make a card, I want something else!

I absolutely love Splitcoast, but I think it is bad for me. I see all of this stuff that otherwise I may never have know existed and I just can't help myself fast enough! Then I can't help but share it with you. Tell me how do you resist?

The cutest little penguin!

Here is Cameron's! Isn't it cute???? I was working on a featured stamper challenge and he wanted a challenge too and chose to case one of mine. I am so flattered, the little cutie!

The card and scalloped square along with his hat and scarf are Orchid. The striped paper is DejaViews. He did all his own work except, I poured the glitter (for obvious reasons!).

Thanks for looking!

Juggling Penguins

I don't want to waste any more of this beautiful paper than was necessary in creation, so made a few 3x3's to match. I'd like to find some metal tags that say something Christmassy where the ribbon is tied.

Stamps: Elzybells, Juggling Penguin
Paper: Heidi Grace Frost Blvd,
Ink: Bordering Blue, Only Orange & Regal Rose
Accessories: Ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds & Scallop Punches

Thanks for looking!

A handful of love!

I love this card! It is one of my favorites evah! My Mom bought several Elzybells, but I just bought this penguin. The sentiment is also from Elzybells and belongs to her. Isn't she SWEET to let me play with them first!

Stamps: Handful of Love & Juggling Penguin, Papertrey square borders
Paper: Heidi Grace Frost Blvd from Lil Deb's Stamp and Scrap Station, Whisper White, Vellum
Ink: Regal Rose, Basic Black
Accessories: Jolee's Boutique snowflake, Marvy Scalloped Punch and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter
Hope you like it as much as I do! Thanks for stopping by!

Bad Fluffles!

Not so sure this looks any better, but if you color his eyes it's eerie! Oh well! There is fun flock on the top of the stocking and crystal effects on the bulbs, which wasn't quite dry and it stuck to the scanner. Good thing I don't have any more stamped images because he is frustrating me, BIG TIME!

Sweet Fluffles!

The challenge was to use metallic. All I had was this gold mirror paper, co I cuttlebugged it with the white behind it. Fluffles is also colored in gold and fun flock on the ball of the hat. There is glitter on the snow flakes.

I didn't like the previous card, so I re-did it! Looks much better with the Bravo Burgundy and certainly celery. Thank goodness for scraps, this was the only piece of Bravo Burgundy I have.

The ribbon gets squished and discolored when you scan it, but it's much better than the photo.

I like this one much better and prettier IRL.

Thanks for stopping by!

My Sweet Boy!

My sweet boy made me this card, isn't it cute!! One problem we thought this was a penguin, but upon closer inspection turns out it's a chicken!! LOL! The inside reads, " Mommy I Luve "heart" you! xooxo" It's okay if your jealous!!

Snowboard Fluffles!!

This was for yet another challenge on Splitcoast. This one was a layout challenge. I purchased this stamp from Lil Deb's Stamp and Scrap Station. I also got some Fun Flock, which I used for the first time on this card. The embellishments are from an old card kit that I purchased a long time ago, so maybe eventually I will use all of this STUFF!

Took longer than should have because after I colored Fluffles, I got the smart idea to shade him and had to start over. I feel like it needs some doodles around the border, but it's too late for me to have to start over again. This is the first time I've used Fun Flock it's pretty cool, but I don't think I got enough on.

Stamps: Snowboard Fluffles
Paper: DCWV, Wild Wasabi & Pretty in Pink
Ink: Wild Wasabi, Bashful Blue, Pretty in Pink & Close to Cocoa
Accessories: Wild Wasabi Double Stitched Ribbon, silver ribbon, dimensionals , silver cord, misc embellishments, dazzling diamonds glitter and Fun Flock

So what do you think I think he is adorable!! Stampendous is also coming out with some really cute new Changito's, Bunnies and Bee's for Easter and Valentine's Day that you must have so stop by her eBay store today.

TFL!

Hugs and Kisses and Merry Christmas Wishes!

Cameron and I bought this stamp at Sweetheart Stamps the other day. It is by Inky Antics and the Hugs and Wishes stamp is from the Stampin' Up set called All Holidays. The white paper is done with a cuttlebug embossing folder called Snowflakes and the Green Paper is by DCWV. I purchased the ribbon from Jacksonbelle. Just realized I didn't do anything with the ball on his hat, ooops! Will fix that and maybe add some glitter or something to that and the band.

Stamps: Inky Antics, Stampin' Up
Paper: DCWV, White, Green Galore, Pretty in Pink
Ink: Green Galore & Pretty in Pink

I had the worst afternoon, my Internet stopped working and I've been trying to get it fixed for about 4 hours, finally it's working! I am so sick of computers and Internet Providers (screaming), but I can't live w/o it!

Thanks for stopping by, just one month til Christmas. Hope Santa brings me lots of cool stamps and stuff!

Snowy Home

I bought this at Sweetheart Stamps the other day, isn't it just too cute? The stamp not the card because I'm not too sure I'm very happy with the card. As usual, it does look better in real life. I'm going to have to start waiting til daylight and trying to take pictures instead of scanning.
Stamps: Whipper Snapper Snowy Home
Paper: Bashful Blue and Close to Cocoa
Ink: Grey, Summer Sun, Old Olive, Only Orange, Bashful Blue and Close to Cocoa
Accessories: ribbon, glitter and word window punch

Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by.

Dreaming of a Green Christmas!

This is my first Fella card, made for the same Splitcoast challenge. I have no idea what I will do with this card, but I think it's cute! TFL

Stamps: Beerafella
Paper: DCWV and Black
Ink: PrismaColor Markers, Close to Cocoa Blush Blossom and More Mustard
Accessories: Sandylion Essentials
Techniques: Sentiment printed on computer, Fella cut out and attached

Christmas Morning Bella

This is for another challenge on Splitcoast to use a non-Christmas Bella and make a Christmas card, found here: Black Friday Bella Bonus Challenge.

This didn't turn out quite as well as I pictured it, but it does look better IRL. I wanted to use silver, but all I had was Reynold's wrap so I went for it (the edges look pretty crappy) and the sentiment (printed on my computer to match wild wasabi) looks out of place.

This is colored with the PrismaColor markers I purchased at Michael's. They are fun, just need to figure out shading!

Stamps: Grumpabella
Paper: DCWV Winter Card Stack, Wild Wasabi, Bashful Blue and Reynold's Wrap
Ink: PrismaColor Markers, Bluch Blosson, Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip, Summer Sun, and Wild Wasabi
Accessories: Wild Wasabi Double Stitched Ribbon, silver ribbon, dimensionals , and square scallop punch

2nd Attempt

This is my second attempt with the new markers. The light blue on this one came out better because I used Bashful Blue and the Aqua Painter. Still not loving the ribbon and the scalloped square could be just a tad bigger.

What do you think? I think they are going to need a home, but that will need to wait till tomorrow!

Thanks for stopping by! I have had lots of visitors, but nobody's talking to me. Talk to me people! Getting close to 1,000 hits, may do some blog candy if I hear from you. Feels like I'm talkin' to myself here.

Good Night! Come Again!

Prismacolor Markers!

I had to leave my truck at Carbone's to get the converter replaced today, so my mom let me borrow her truck to get to work (thanks Mom). Well it sucked that I had to work, but after, we went to Michaels and Sweetheart stamps in Rome. I love Sweetheart stamps, they have the cutest stamps around and they are sooooooooooo friggin' nice! We missed the sale they had last week, but she gave it to me anyway (see what I mean, thus the name)! So I got some really cute new stamps and will hopefully be able to start my Christmas cards.

The samples they have at the are too stinkin' cute and they are colored so beautifully!!! Last time I was there, I was talking to her about Copic markers, which I have been dying for, and she told me that PrismaColor also makes a similar marker. I couldn't find them at AC Moore as she suggested, but Michaels has them. They cost $189.00 for 48 of them, so even at 50% off that's $90.00, so I figured I would try a couple first and maybe someone will be nice enough to buy them for me for Christmas, LOL!

This is my very first image that I colored with them and it didn't come out too bad except for the blue, it looked a lot lighter on the pen. Well after I started it was too late and then I tried to make it better, but it just got worse. Anywhooo, I was going to throw it away, but Cameron asked me to make a card for him with it, so I did. Afterall, this stamp was purchased for him. We are going to make little cards for his classmates and hang them on candy canes.

Papers are Wild Wasabi (since it was already on the table), Real Red, and White. The white is done with the cuttlebug embossing folder and the wasabi with Marvy square scallop punch. The ribbon is from Michaels and doesn't look great on here, but it was the one Cameron picked. The stamp is Framed Snowman by Hero Arts. It is a 3x3 card.

After we went shopping, the night got even better (difficult I know), when I picked up my truck they had cleaned it inside and out. It was filthy and now it smells like new. I can't believe it, how nice of them! Especially since the repairs were free!

Thanks for stopping by!

Winobella - edited to fix boo-boo!

Made this card for the color challenge on SCS yesterday, the colors were Wild Wasabi, White, & Pretty in Pink! The stamp is called Winobella and it looks like I had to much too drink because the sentiment messed up. I am currently trying to figure out how I want to fix it. I will definitely add another layer, just contemplating the shape and color! I also used Baroque Motifs in the background, stamped in pretty in pink and embossed with embossing tinsel and Absolutely Fabulous, both from Stampin' Up! Other items used include: Primas, Rhinestone Brad, Wasabi double-stitched ribbon, and crystal effects. You can't see it in the scan, but I put crystal effects on the glasses and the bottle. Card is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2.

The challenge actually stated that it should be a Christmas card, but since I haven't learned how to read yet, I missed that part.

I really like this card, one of my favorites, hope I can fix the boo-boo! TFL

I guess the system is experiencing difficulty because I can't add the picture, hopefully later!

Gettin' old BITES!!

I made this for the latest Bella Sketch Challenge on Splitcoast. Thought this would be a cute card to give with some girly things like lotions or a spa gift certificate. Wish someone would give me one for a massage, gettin' old bites!! I hurt so much today, I could barely get out of bed!

Well enough about me. The background is by DCVW from the All Dressed Up Mat Pack, gotta love them. Other Paper: Basic Black and Pretty in Pink. By now you know this stamp is from StampingBella and the Enjoy Your Day is from a set called Riveting by Stampin' Up. The colors are: Blush Blossom, Apricot Appeal, and Basic Black. The polka dot ribbon was purchased at Jacksonbelle Embellishments.

Well TFL and hope you like it!

FS41

Here's another one I made today for the featured stamper challenge! I really need to get back to doing these challenges, it's the only way I get anything accomplished. I love this stamp and bought the All Holidays set just to get it! The colors are Brocade Blue and Close to cocoa. The background is done with a cuttlebug. The ribbon and brads are from JoAnn's and Michael's.

Hope to have more for you soon, off to bed! TFL

You Rock!

Thanks for checking my blog over the weekend. Sorry that I didn't post anything, but:
  • Friday night I ended up watching Spiderman 3 with Jim and Cameron
  • Saturday, I went shopping and to a few craft fairs then I helped Bev (my sister) make a recipe box. It was looking pretty awesome, but was unfinished when she took it home. It was also dark so no pictures. I am working on another one though, so maybe you can get a peek at that one.
  • Today (Sunday), I had to do laundry, go grocery shopping, run a few errands and all the other fun stuff that a wife and mother gets to do on the weekends. I did get this card done and am working on another for today's featured stamper challenge on SCS. Hopefully, I will finish it tonight.
This card is made with paper from the DCWV/RockStar Mat Pack. Other papers are mirror gold (Can you believe this stuff is a $1.99 a sheet, what a jip!), very vanilla, and close to cocoa. Both of the ribbons are from Michael's. The stamp is Rockabella from StampingBella (Have you seen the lastest additions? Kittycattabella makes me think of Bobbi, so I can't wait to order it!) I tried to make a guitar pick for the tag, which has the music notes and the sentiment, you rock! The shirt is done with paper piecing and the guitar is colored with a twinklette glitter marker. Other colors are ruby red, close to cocoa, blush blossom and chocolate chip. Rockabella is attached using stamping dimensionals, not sure you can tell in the scan. IRL, I am very happy with this card, not sure about the scan because the green looks off and you really can't see the beautiful gold touches!

Hope you had an awesome weekend! TFL

Another Bella hittin' the bottle!

Another Bella hits the bottle. I just love these Bella's! This one is called Cosmobella and she was made for another co-worker whose birthday was today. I was a little worried about the colors, but she loved it and another co-worker has now become an Addictabella! Don't you love it when you can get someone else hooked and enjoy watching them spend their money. This picture stinks, but once again I made it at night and had to give it away in the morning.

I could sure use a good stiff drink, it's been a long week! Is it just me, or do the weeks that start out shorter last longer? I can't wait for Christmas to come because I really need a vacation.

I hope to get some stampin' in this weekend. I'm going to start out by trying to catch up on some challenges and since the bella's are out might as well start out with those. Enjoy your weekend and visit me again! TFL!

Giftabella Frappuccino Bottle

This is about the 4th one of these frappuccino bottles that I have made. I am addicted to them. They are so much fun and so easy to make. I have about 40 empty bottles now, they are everywhere. I really want to try one with the case.

I don't have the rectangle scallop punch so I put two squares together behind Bella. The HB tag is hanging on a little hanger I made from a paper clip (can't really see it in the picture). The background behind the HB is also made by cutting a square scallop punch and making it smaller then it is folded in half so it looks like it is laying over the hanger. Sort of looks like a hand towel though and might work better with dryabella. I wanted to make a little outfit to hang on it, but it didn't work out.

The tag will hang more to the side, but I had to move it in for the picture.

TFL and please feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions!

Starbucks Coffee

I have seen these on Split Coast and thought they were awesome! I was going to buy some, so I could do the four pack with the carrier, but I don't even know if I like them and the cost $5.99 for a four pack.

A saw a friend at work drinking them I asked her to save them for me. Unfortunately for me, she buys them by the case. When I asked her for them she thought I was crazy, but she started leaving them at my desk everyday. She is one of my favorite people, so I thought I'd make her one. I gave it to her on Friday because I know she had a lot going on and might need a pick me up. She loved it and everyone passed it around, ooohing and ahhing over it. They think I'm Martha Stewart like, hah, if they only knew. Several of the other ladies let me know they have a birthday coming up and that it would be a perfect gift for them. Since they are so cheap to make, the most expensive part being the candy and the fact that they take about 5 minutes to make, I'll probably oblige them. These picture stinks because I took it when it was dark. As usual I waited to the last minute, so I didn't have time to try and fool with it to get a better picture.

I used Stella Ruby paper by Basic Grey, Chocolate Chip (of course), and Old Olive. The stamp set is Happy Harmony, one of my favorites.

TFL and feel free to e-mail me with any questions.

Dog-Gone Great Day!

The fastest card I ever made. Last night around 9:00 p.m. Cameron was invited to go to Chuck E. Cheese with his friend Chantz to Celebrate his birthday. They didn't plan anything because his Gramma was sick and were unsure that they would be around. They were supposed to pick him up at noon. After running to the store to get a gift, I started to make this card and she called to say they were on the way...early. UH...OH, better hurry. I used the Sketch Challenge from JAN08VSNMINI2, at least I think it qualifies! I bought this set because I loved the little penguin jumping in the cup and wondered what I would ever do with this dog, now I know.

I think it came out cute for how quickly it was done. The scan is not so great, but no time to play with it as they are pulling in the driveway, LOL! I'm so proud, I parted with some more of my stashed Designer Paper, Creative License. Not sure why I am so stingy with it, it's makes card making so much easier and the end result so much better. I think I will be using it more and more. Love, love, love that it is double-sided and takes out the guess work of matching up papers! WOO-HOO!

Here are the supplies:

Stamps: Stampin' Up's Dog-Gone It!
Paper: Creative License Simply Scrappin'
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Blue Bayou, Blender Pens, White Signo-Gel Pen
Accessories: Wild Wasabi Double-Stitched Ribbon
Can you believe all the Stampin' Up stuff I'm finally using? I have definitely been in a slump, maybe a party coming on!!

Welcome Little One

SplitCoast had a Virtual Stamp Night, which started at 7 p.m. on Friday night. I was excited and couldn't wait to join in the fun. However it didn't turn out as well as I expected. I did everything on this card in about 10 minutes, which included choosing the Drive, paper, colors, and stamp set. Then my computer went down and I spent the next 4 hours trying to figure out how I wanted to attach the sentiment and what ribbon to use. I finally settled on this, but it's not what I wanted. Isn't it sad that you can have so much "stuff", but it never seems like you have just what you want.

Want to know more about VSN?

VSN is Virtual Stamp Night, a Splitcoaststampers tradition that’s expanded into a themed Virtual Stamping Weekend. ANYONE can join in on the fun! A series of stamping challenges will be posted in the forums, and you can do as many or as few challenges as you’d like. Whether you are a new stamper or a seasoned veteran, VSN will get you to try new things and get your creativity flowing.

Join the fun in the VSN forum! There's still plenty of time and even if you don't finish them in time at least you did something with all that "stuff" you've been collecting!! I plan to work on them some more, but have tons of stuff to do this weekend!

Picture and products used to come. My darn scanner isn't working again, so I'm just going to go to bed! Here they are:

Stamps: Welcome Little One from Stampin' Up, Simple Stitches from CTMH
Paper: Stampin' Up Designer Series Paper (Which I'm really stingy with!!), Chocolate Chip, and Tempting Turquoise
Ink: Tempting Turquoise, Pretty in Pink, Close to Cocoa
Accessories: Designer Label Punch, Ribbon, and Rhinestone Brads

This card was made for a drive, you can learn more here. I plan to make a few more before sending them, so if you want to make a few let me know and we can mail them together. Thanks for looking!

Bosses Day, All About Grattitude!

I made this Stampendous can filled with chocolate and caramel dipped pretzels sticks for my boss.

It's pretty simple as I have had a back problem and not able to sit here as long as I would like to.

The can is a small clear paint can from Stampendous, which I purchased from Lil Deb's Stamp and Scrap Station. Other supplies used were:

Stamps: All about Gratitude/All About Occassions from Stampin' Up, please contact me for more information.
Paper: Whisper White Wrapping paper from Stampin' Up, perfect for can projects and wrapping gifts. Use any wheel to make it special
Ink: Green Galore, Yo-Yo Yellow, and Pumpkin Spice
Accessories: Lots and lots of ribbon from Michael's

For my Absolutely Fabulous Boss!

Well nothing went right today and I didn't get much completed, other than this card. The paper piercing is done using the Mat Pack from Stampin' Up. The colors are Chocolate Chip, Really Rust, and Whisper White. The coloring is done with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. The stamp is from Penny Black and I received it from someone on Split Coast whom I sent scallop punch outs to. The edges are distressed and the saying says you're absolutely fabulous, but didn't stamp too well. I really need to find a good white stamp pad. This was stamped with Staz On white. Thanks for looking!
