Thanks Lynn!!

I received this award from Lynn a few days ago, but if you read my previous post you know why it took me so long to get it on here!! How sweet Lynn, it's definitely mutual since your comments and e-mails always make me smile!!

Now I'd like to pass this along to a few other bloggers who always make me smile:

Linsey --- Congrats on your big news!! Check out Linsey's blog for more info!!
Jen --- Thanks for being so sweet to my boy! Have fun at Disney!!!
Kristine --- Check out her bunny card...too cute, bet you smile!!!

A loooooooooong week!

It's been a looooooong week! I've been having some trouble with my back and neck, numbness in my feet and hands etc... Well it's been a nightmare dealing with the doctors and trying to figure it all out since September. I've had MRI's and an EMG (wow, that sucked) given many drugs and still no answers. I started going to the Chiropractor on Monday and he is soooo nice, even called me at home at 7:00 at night to see how I was after my first adjustment (wow!, I was impressed!) Well, I'm still in pain, but hopefully we are getting somewhere. So, I was there for an hour and a half Monday, then two short visits on Tuesday and Thursday. On Thursday, my back made such a loud sound I thought I'd never be able to stand again, but lo and behold I'm still walking! LOL!

Then my computer was down for a couple of days, come to find out it was because it had a little snow and ice on it. It's satellite internet and costs an arm and a leg, trouble is if the wind blows or it rains it goes down, hello Upstate, NY here. There is always bad weather!! I pray for the day when cable makes its way to my door, gready prayer eh? So what I'm desperate!! I learned that my SCS friends miss and worry about me if I'm gone for a day, but my family and friends can go for months without getting nervous, go figure!! Love my SCS buddies!!

Anyway there were a couple of bright spots that I found in my mailbox:

This one (above) is from Pat Smethers, awesome eh! This image is so fabulous and I love the colors, layout and DP. This is me (Purt), Pat (Flirt) and Shirley (Shirt). Can you imagine that such beautiful friendships can become from a simple home made card!! I sure never thought! Cameron is packing his bags and getting ready to go visit Aunt Pattie. Last night he asked her which of his stamps he should bring. LOL! I think it will be a while before me make it to CA, but the thought sure is appealing. Thanks Pat, love ya man!!

And this one (below) is from Helen, boy she sure turned out to be a riot!! Helen loves to get me to say bad words and so I have to call her a "Biotch" several times when we chat. These ladies are all so funny, my hubby is ready to have me committed because I sit in here laughing all by myself all the time. Then one day, he was on e-Bay and Miss Helen sent me a message telling me to get off my butt (well actually she used the other word) and clean my house. I think she is probably still blushing since she found out it was Jim. Anyway, this card is just adorable. I loooove the sentiment and the little old lady is too cute and grumpy!! Helen went on a business trip with her DH and made this card while in a hotel room. Can you imagine how much stuff she must have packed, now that's dedication!!! Thanks Helen love ya "biotch" and love this card! Great fun fur!!! Now get yourself home, so we can chat!! Miss you!

I stink, you're sweet!

Lynn from the Queen's Scene pushed me over the edge with her cards seen here and I just had to have this set. This is a tiny little card that I made for the featured stamper challenge on SCS. Hers looked much bigger, when I saw the measurements I was surprised. This card is a 3x3 with a 1/2" cut off the top and then the scallops added behind that piece. The ribbon ties it shut. I am so sad, i am all out of the black and white polka dotted ribbon. I love it as you probably noticed!! the scallops are made with the slot punch from SU!

Internet wonky, will post pic and pics of my latest mail tomorrow!! Thanks for stopping by! Oh and I have another award to post from my friend Lynn, she's too good to me. I know, blog candy too. i just can't decide!!

Tires or Testicles!!

This was for a fun challenge with friends on SCS!! Hope it isn't too naughty or offensive!! This is LuLu from Rubber Romance, isn't she cute with the rollers in her hair!!

The challenge was to use Chocolate Chip and Cool Carribean, Sketch Challenge 98 and it was supposed to be funny. Well procrastinator that I am, I was the last one done and saw my friends cards before I was finished. After I saw their creations, I just didn't know what to do there was no way to top them, so I just gave in to being bad!! I'm sorry if this offends you, but you gotta admit it is true!!

Wanna see my friends cards? Stop by take a peek, leave a comment and make their days. You won't be disappointed!!! Very Funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here are Pat's cards: Old Lady and My Butt Hurts, Whut?

and here is Shirley's card: Drunco Bunco make sure you're not drinking anything!!

Girly Girl!!

I think this image is so pretty and elegant, thanks for sending it to me Pat!! Tell me what occasion would you send this to someone for?? I made a few mistakes on this card, but I didn't want to waste it and it still looks pretty! The ribbon is from Michael's and the DP is from SU. I colored her with Prismacolor pencils and Copics.

Naughty and Nice!!

I couldn't resist this cute little bunny wabbit from Inkadinkadoo, but at least I used it this time! This was made for SC164 and was a really quick (less thank 5 min card), which is very unusual for me. The more I look at it the more I wanna add something, but I'm resisting!! I think I could actually send this with one stamp!! Yeehaw!! I also got a stamp that has some eggs on it to go with it, so you'll be seeing some more of this wabbit!! The DP is Gypsy from Basic Grey!

I received this image from Shirley (wannabcre8tive on SCS). I just loooove these old people stamps, they crack me up. The sentiment is from another SCS friend who prefers to remain nameless for some reason. Wait till you see the other sentiment she sent me!! The flowers are actually pink and blue gemlike, but the scanner makes them look funny! This DP is from a DCWV Glittery Pack!! I can't wait for someone to give me an excuse to send this to them!! Thanks friends!!!
So glad you stopped by!!

Ink, Spray, and Smash...

and make your own Designer paper, you can do it to. Instructions can be found here. This is for today's featured stamper challenge. I loved this layout on this card, but I was afraid of the technique. Turns out it was right up my Cameron's alley, so I let him do it and he had a blast. When he saw the colors he asked me to make a card for his friend Ceara. They have been buds for two years. He came home from Kindergarten one day and said, "Ceara told me I was her boyfriend," I said, " You tell her you are not, you're mine till your 20!" She is the cutest little thing and she always has a huge smile on her face, they are a couple of clowns!! He said we had to make her a card with it because those are the colors of her book bag. Anywho here it is and thanks for looking!

A Mothermark Original!!

Look what I got in the mail today, way better than a Hallmark any day!! Mothermark is a friend from SCS. She is very fun and tells a great story! Good thing for me she couldn't get in touch with the mailman to stop delivery!! NaNa!! She thinks I'm fresh and told me she called the mailman and told him she wanted her card back, but I still got it!! This is so fabulous IRL and I know my photo isn't going to do it justice, it's way too dark here and the monkey won't let it be scanned. I just can't wait till tomorrow to upload it.

Kim- I know you're gonna love this, but you can't have it!!!

So Very Blessed!

Just playing around with some scraps. I find these types of images so hard to color, never sure where to put the ink. An aqua painter was used after I colored it with prismacolor pencils and gamsol. This ribbon is from Michael's I think and it just wants to unravel!

Hey Mom, here's your new acquisition!!

and some other sets to ponder. I still can't believe you paid that much!! Stampin' Up should really bring some of these sets back and make some money on them instead of letting everyone else clean up with them on eBay!!

Wild Wild West - Already $100.00 with three days to go!!

Hope, Dream, Believe...

This is a quick card that I made for this week's sketch challenge on SCS. The blue in the background is not part of the card. It measures 51/2 x 51/2.

If you haven't done any of these challenges, you definitely should they are so much fun!!

Most of my cards have a lot of coloring involved, it's fun to skip that part sometimes and make a simple card! I haven't done that much stamping this week because of my neck and my back, but hope to get something accomplished over this long weekend.

I still haven't mailed my valentine's, guess I should get started on Easter a tad bit earlier. My Mom just bought the Gifts of Spring set from eBay and I hope to play with it before she picks it up!

Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!!

A few Valentine's!

Guess who only has red scraps on Valentine's Day??

More Cards from my new Stamping Friends!

This card is from one of my "Twisted Sistahs" Shirley!! Shirley is wonderful and I have so much fun on the bus with my new friends, They are sooo crazy one minute, yet so caring the next!! I am still amazed at what great friends I have made through SCS! Stampers Rule!!!! If you are so inclined, you can read the whole crazy story here. Thanks so much Shirt, Trigger is sooo cute, but Jack is crazier than a loon!! What was I thinking????

This one is from my other crazy friend Helen, she's a hoot for sure! I was chatting with Helen one morning and eating pie for breakfast. She just couldn't believe it! It was chocolate mint pie and I couldn't resist!! Hey, tell me you've never eaten pie or cake for breakfast. In the Spirit of Valentine's Day I was going to have chocolate pie for dinner, but Helen got awfully upset so I ate I little slice of lasagna and now I'm going to have the pie. Girls gotta celebrate with her love on Valentine's Day right?? Thanks so much for the card Helen! It didn't scan well because of the clip, but the coloring is perfect and the cake looks delish, Mmmmmmmmm! You know the key to my heart now!! Thanks Valentine!!

Borrowed Stamps!!

You know what's great about borrowed stamps, you have to use them so you can get them back to their rightful owners in a timely manner! If I buy them, I know I'll get around to them someday!! Thanks mom for sharing these with me, love ya!! I scanned these and the colors don't look true and they look much better IRL, but what's a girl to do! Hope you enjoy them and Happy Stamping!!
Love this doodlebug sugar coated paper. It's really much sparklier as is the glitter dot, which is a bright green like Green Galore! I just love these fat cats from Penny Black, don't you!!
I'm really surprised at how much I like these colors together!! They are barely bananaish, only orange and basic grey!! Don't look it here though!!

Oh my gosh, Oh my gosh, Oh my gosh!!!

What??? I am shocked, stunned, amazed, and ever so grateful to receive this award from Linsey aka ScrapperLinsey. Linsey is an amazing stamper and I just love everything that she does. If you haven't done so already check out her blog here and\or her Splitcoast gallery here. I'm snowed out right now, so I don't have my list of favorite bloggers, but as soon as I get home, you know who you are!!!! Thanks so much Linsey!!!!!!

Wild Thang!

Pat sent me some Rubber Romance images and I just had to play with them!! After coloring her, I found that I had the perfect DP, actually I thought I had some the color of her skirt and I probably do, but I couldn't find it!! I think I'm glad though cuz this worked really well. I didn't have the perfect ribbon so I pulled out some fun fur and I think it works!! The bottom corner was punched with the square steps corner punch, it needed something so I added this brad on a pop dot!! So what do you think, it's a little wild from me!!

Thanks for looking!!

From my Buddy Pat!

I received this card in the mail from my buddy Pat, man I love her!! I can't tell you how glad I am to have connected with her, she is one of the bestest people in the world!! She makes me laugh everyday and I wonder how I ever got along without her! Thanks so much Pat!! There is a long story behind this card, but that's me in the center (LOL!), Pat is the one that likes gawdy flowers and Jose' lover is our friend Shirley. Look at the bangles on my arm aren't they special (if you can't see them click on the image to make it bigger), they are done with crystal effects ans micro beads. This card is too funny, so special and beautifully done!! I will think of my new friends every time I look at it and laugh!!!

A card from my Auntie Pudge!!

This is a card I received from my Auntie for my birthday last year! She thinks she's not any good at it! Just look at this sweet card, she is soooooo wrong!! I know you're gonna see this Aunt Pudge and when you do I expect you to get your butt in your stampin' room and start using some of that stuff you keep buying instead of making excuses!! Love ya!!!!!

Mom's Cards Part II, Enjoy

Just a few cards that my Mom made they are so awesome, dontcha think?? This continues on for the next few posts, hope you will enjoy them as much as I do. These two are very special because my brother-in-law is doing his second tour in Iraq. Every Saturday my mom, sister, and two nieces get together and make cards for the soldiers! These were the only ones I was able to get my paws on because Mom made this to send to him and on the inside is a picture of him and it says it'll be allyight! That's what he always tells my sister, so she is going to mail it to him to send to my sis, isn't that sweet!! What would we do without our families? I sure don't know! Love mine!!! Keep stampin' girls!!

This one below shows the color of their old uniforms and above the new!! Love this set!!!

Wanna see another card my Mom made and a hilarious picture my sister-in-law took of herself to celebrate turning 40, click here!

The Cat's Pajama's

This is one of the new stamps from Cat's Pajamas. I love them, there is a whole new line of stamps released not to long ago. I am on a stamp diet, so I could only get this one (well two, Shhhh!) Don't tell on me! Isn't this adorable? My mom got a bunch of them, so I'll have to borrow hers!! Thanks for stopping by!!

Cards received from friends!!

This one is fromLes'girl on SCS. I sent her some bella's too and she sent me this wonderful card and bookmark as a thank you. Well it was my pleasure and thanks so much, these are so pretty!
This one is from my friend MissHelen. I sent her a bunch of Bella images and made a little box for them, she loves it so much she doesn't want to use them. Color them babies up Helen and I will send you some more!! Isn't this precious and sweet!! Thanks Helen!!
This one is from my good friend Pat. She sent me this card and a big fatty package full of stamped images. Love my SCS friends!! The container with the your da bomb card was for Pat, but I wanted it to be a surprise! She got it today!! YAY!! Enjoy those images and such Pat and thanks again!!

So Sorry, it's been so long!!

Wow, I've really neglected you haven't I. Let me give you some eye candy!!

I borrowed this stamp from my wonderful Aunt Pudge. Thanks so much, hope you like it!
This is a stampendous stamp that I purchased a while ago from Lil Deb's Stamp and Scrap Station and the background was done with SU's Boho Backgrounds. I didn't realize the backgrounds didn't stamp too well at the bottom, but it sure shows up in the scan! Just playing around anyway. The ribbon was lighter than it needed to be so I dragged it across the purely pomegranate stamp pad.
This is a fun set called Doctor FeelGood that I purchased from Gina K designs. It is by Carolyn King, isn't it cute!!
My friend Pat sent me a big fatty package of stamped images, dontcha just love this one?? So stinkin' cute and fun! Lots more of them too! Thanks Pat!!
